  • Annual Fee: You’ll need to pay a $95 annual fee for the Citi Premier®.
  • Intro offer: For a limited time, Citi offers all new cardholders 80,000 bonus points after $4,000 in purchases within the first 3 months of membership. 
  • Rewards: With the Citi Premier® Card, you’ll earn 3x points on travel, gas stations, supermarkets and restaurants. All other purchases earn a flat 1 point. 
  • APRs: The variable APR on purchases and balance transfers ranges between 20.24% and 28.24%. For cash advances, the variable is 29.49%. 
  • Other Fees: Up to $41 on late and returned payments. 5% or $5 for balance transfers and 5% or $10 for cash advances.

The Citi Premier® Card is a great choice if you’re looking for an everyday credit card that offers rewards, bonuses and benefits. With this card, you can earn points on every purchase, as well a higher rate in certain categories such as travel and dining.

There’s a generous welcome offer (with spending requirements) that is worth $800 in gift card redemptions. As for your earned points, you can redeem them for gift cards as well as travel rewards. You can also shop at selected merchants with those points. 

The card has a modest $95 annual fee that is worth the cost, especially if you prioritize this card for everyday spending. The APR varies between 20.24% and 28.24% according to your creditworthiness, and there’s no foreign transaction fees for international purchases. 

You’ll also earn up to $100 in hotel savings benefit per year. Plus, you have the option to transfer your points to participating airline loyalty programs at no extra charge.
