1. The Holy Grail of Barbie Dolls:
In 2010, Mattel released a one-of-a-kind Barbie doll to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the iconic toy.
The doll was dressed in a replicated version of the original 1959 black and white swimsuit and came with a stand and certificate of authenticity.

3. The Steiff Buzz Lightyear:
In 1995, Steiff released a replica of Buzz Lightyear from the popular Toy Story movies. The toy was made with real mohair fur and came complete with a special certificate of authenticity.
Unfortunately, production problems led to the recall of the toy before it could reach store shelves. As a result, only a handful of these Buzz Lightyears are known to exist, making them extremely rare.
4. The Cabbage Patch Kids ” Millennium babies”:
In 2000, Mattel released four special editions of Cabbage Patch Kids dolls to commemorate the new millennium.
The dolls were each named after a different season (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter) and came with their own birth certificate.
Unfortunately, production problems led to the recall of the dolls before they could reach store shelves. As a result, only a handful of these Millennium babies are known to exist, making them extremely rare.
5. The Beanie Babies “Peanut” Elephant:
In 2000, Ty Inc released an exclusive PE final run Beanie Baby elephant named “Peanut.” The elephant was retired shortly after its release and is now one of the most sought-after Beanie Babies among collectors.
As a result, “Peanut” elephants can sell for hundreds or even thousands of dollars on secondary markets such as eBay as one of the rarest toys.
6. President Furby:
President Furby is one of the most rare and most collectible toys. Produced in 2000, only a handful of these toys were ever made. As a result, they can sell for hundreds or even thousands of dollars.
It has a presidential Seal on its chest and two badges, one with the USA flag and another saying “Furby for president”. These features make it a highly sought-after toy for collectors. If you’re lucky enough to own one of these, you can be sure it will be worth a lot of money.
7. The Beanie Babies “Peanut” Elephant:
The “Peanut” the Elephant Beanie Baby is one of the rarest toys. With its big ears, soft trunk, and friendly eyes, this little elephant is hard to resist.
But it’s the fact that only a handful of these toys exist that makes them so valuable. Peanut was released in 1995 as part of a special “royal family” collection.
Due to an error at the factory, only a handful of these elephants were made. As a result, they are extremely hard to find and command high prices on the secondary market.

8. First Edition Monopoly Set
Released in 1935, the set includes a board, Tokens, Chance and Community Chest cards, and play money.

A complete set has sold for as much as $146,500 at auction in recent years. While that may seem like a lot of money for a board game, it’s clear that the first edition Monopoly set is a true collector’s item.
