ESPN Plus: What is it?
ESPN Plus is a streaming service from ESPN that gives users access to exclusive live sports, original programming, and on-demand content.
It launched in April 2018 and is available on a variety of platforms. The streaming service is ad-free and offers users a variety of content that they can’t find anywhere else.
This includes live sporting events like MLB, NHL, and MLS games, as well as ESPN originals like the docuseries “30 for 30” and the talk show “Pardon the Interruption”.
Although the platform offers a wide variety of programming, subscribers cannot access the original ESPN channel on cable television.

How much does it cost to become a subscriber?
You can subscribe to the ESPN Plus streaming service for $10 a month. You can also choose their annual plan, which costs $100 with a $20 discount.
If you want, you can take advantage of their combo package, which includes Disney Plus and Hulu for $14 a month.
This combo package will save you roughly $11 a month compared to subscribing to these three services separately.
If you’re not looking to subscribe but rather give the subscription to someone else, you can purchase an ESPN Plus gift subscription for $100.
This gift card can only be redeemed by new members and offers access to an annual ad-free subscription plan.
Does ESPN Plus offer an ad-supported tier?
Currently, there are no ad-supported tier plans on any ESPN+ subscriptions.
While that seems like a growing market to attract new customers by offering a cheaper subscription plan, you can only get the ad-free alternative for $10 a month.
How can you subscribe to ESPN Plus?
Subscribing to ESPN+ is easy, and you can do so via their official website or download their mobile app.
The first step is creating an account with your personal information and preferred payment method.
Once you finish your subscription form and add a payment plan, you can start streaming your favorite sports events.
What’s included with ESPN Plus?
ESPN Plus offers a ton of video content. You’ll get live games and on-demand shows with exclusive stories and programs.
However, it’s important to note that live games come with commercials, like watching live TV. All subscribers can watch live games from the NHL, MLS, and MLB during game season.
There’s also UFC, College Football, PGA Golf, international soccer matches, and tennis tournaments.
The downside to the subscription is that it doesn’t include live NBA games and doesn’t stream all NFL games, either.
That is because ESPN Plus is not a replacement for ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN News, or any other ESPN channel you may subscribe to through your cable or satellite provider.
As such, the streaming service does not include access to any pay-per-view events.
However, in addition to all the different types of games, ESPN Plus has a series of original shows. You’ll get to watch in-depth game recaps and analyses by Peyton Manning.
Plus, there are many sports documentaries available. Additionally, you can catch full replays of historic NFL games on-demand.
Can you get UFC PPV and UFC Fight Night events with ESPN+?
ESPN Plus does offer UFC pay-per-view matches. However, the event costs about $75 for subscribers.
New members can get access to a special bundle that includes annual membership and one pay-per-view event for $125.
The ESPN+ subscription also features UFC Fight Night events with its regular $10 package, so existing subscribers don’t have to pay any extra money to watch them.
Will ESPN Plus stream the 2022 NFL season?
The sports streaming service will provide coverage for select games for the first time this year. While it won’t stream the full season, subscribers can watch some of the games on their accounts.
Where can you watch content?
One of the best features of ESPN Plus is that you can watch all of its content through the regular ESPN mobile app. Instead of downloading a separate app, all you need to do is log into your account.
You can watch your favorite games and shows on pretty much every available platform. Desktop computers and laptops, smart TVs and mobiles, game consoles, and more.
ESPN Plus allows you to stream their content on up to three devices at once using the same account.
Who should sign up for the service?
ESPN Plus is a subscription service from ESPN that gives members access to exclusive sports content.
It offers live and on-demand sporting events from various professional and collegiate leagues and ESPN’s original programming.
Their content is available on most major streaming platforms, including Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, and more.
So, who should sign up for ESPN Plus? Just about any sports fan! The service is perfect for those who want to catch up on their favorite sports or keep up with the latest news and highlights.
It is also a great option for cord-cutters, as it provides an affordable alternative to traditional cable packages.
