Tracking your IRS tax refund can seem daunting, but it doesn’t have to be! The quickest and most efficient way to track your refund is with the IRS’ Where’s My Refund? page.

All you need is a Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number, filing status (single, married or head of household) and your expected refund amount.

Just head over to the Get Refund Status page on the IRS website and enter in this information. Then hit Submit.

If, for some reason, you’re unsure about your data being correct, you’ll need to verify that everything looks correct and also input a date when you originally filed your taxes.

And – voila! You’ll be well on your way to knowing exactly where your hard-earned money is.

How do I track my IRS tax refund from a previous year?

If you’re wondering where that tax refund from last year went, the Where’s My Refund tool will tell you what the IRS has on file – up to two years back.

If you need details even further back than that, your best bet is to log in to your IRS online account.

Once you’re in, you’ll be able to track down information like how much money you owe or have been paid, what’s on your most recent return, and even get any notices that the IRS might have sent you recently.

So track down those refund details easily – they’re waiting for you!

You can track the IRS tax refund though a mobile app.

The IRS realized how inconvenient it could be to track your tax refund, so they created a convenient mobile app called IRS2Go!

It’s available for iOS and Android in both English and Spanish. No matter what language you speak or your device, there’s an option for everyone.

The app helps track if your return has been received and approved and if a refund has been sent. All you need to log in is your Social Security number, filing status, and the expected refund amount – easy peasy!

Plus, it’s updated overnight so that you know as soon as possible about any changes to your refund status.

With this helpful tool from the IRS, tracking your tax refund doesn’t have to be stressful.

What are the statuses of my tax return?

Whether you’re eagerly awaiting a refund or just trying to track the status of your tax return, your trackable status has three possible statuses.

The first is “Received”, which means that the IRS has your tax return and is working to process it.

Once they’ve processed your info and confirmed the amount—if any—of your refund, the status will move to “Approved”.

Then finally, if you’re owed a refund, it’s time for you to track your refund! This final stage is “Sent,” which means that your refund money should be in transit to your direct deposit bank account or as a paper check sent to the address on file.

If you recently moved and need to change that address, don’t worry; it’s easy to track down through the IRS.

Where can I call to track my IRS tax refund?

You can track your IRS tax refund status with the Where’s My Refund tool 21 days after you’ve filed online.

If you need additional assistance or want to speak to someone directly, you can call the IRS’s toll-free hotline at 800-829-1040 or 800-829-8374 during regular business hours.

You can always refer to their website’s ‘Let Us Help You’ page. Or also, contact your local IRS office for even more guidance.

For all questions and concerns, the IRS offers friendly help, so taxpayers feel secure and supported in filing their taxes.

All in all, managing your IRS tax refund can be a hassle. Fortunately, plenty of tools are available to you, so tracking your return is an easy task.

We hope our blog post has given you a better understanding of the process.

The key here is to stay up-to-date on when your refund will arrive and any potential delays along the way. Keeping close track of your refund from start to finish could save you much trouble and frustration in the long run.
