Almost anyone can request a Spot Money Debit Card. To become eligible, you need to be 16 years old or older, and have a valid South African ID or Passport. To apply for the card, you first need to create a Spot Money account.

The Spot Money Debit Card is free of charge. However, Spot Money charges a R29 transaction fee to cover the shipping costs. That means you need to open an account and deposit at least R29 on it before requesting the card.
