First Kill

By now, everyone who’s not living under a rock probably already binge-watched season 4 of Netflix’s most famous original show: Stranger Things. If you’re looking for another young adult show with a little terror twist, First Kill is the way to go. The series tells the story of two teenagers – a vampire and a vampire hunter – who end up falling in love as their families are getting ready to go to war.

The series is an adaptation of a fantasy novel by the same name, and it could become quite a hit amongst teens. However, we have a feeling people of all ages will enjoy this supernatural coming-of-age tale.

God’s Favorite Idiot

Netflix has become such a big deal in the last few years that now the streaming service is able to bring big movie stars to their original productions. In the new series God’s Favorite Idiot, Melissa McCarthy makes her debut in the streaming giant along with her real life husband, Ben Falcone.

Falcone stars as a regular, boring tech support worker who suddenly becomes a messenger for God. McCarthy is his co-worker, who tries to help him navigate through life with this new and unexpected miracle. Even though the show provides some sitcom vibes, the subject matter and the type of humor make for one of the most appealing shows to watch on Netflix.

If there is one thing that unites us all is our collective love for cooking shows. Over the recent years, the genre has become quite an obsession with all kinds of different audiences. This is not a new season, but rather a new iteration of the beloved Iron Chef. Now, there are five new Iron Chef contestants competing in a series of challenges for a chance to become the Iron Legend. If you like this genre, Iron Chef is definitely one of the shows to watch on Netflix.

The Umbrella Academy

Netflix sure knows how to time their premieres. With the end of the first half of Stranger Things season 4, fans are eager for more interesting original stories. The Umbrella Academy returns for its third – and much anticipated – season next week. The story follows a group of children with superpowers who are raised to be superheroes. After a long period away from each other, they must reunite to save the world.

Season 3 will lean on the team having to deal with the consequences of a time-jump into an alternative reality. The show’s penchant for intriguing and fun stories makes The Umbrella Academy a fun adventure and one of the best shows to watch on Netflix this month.

Man Vs. Bee

Rowan Atkinson is one of the best well-known actors in the world thanks to his unforgettable character of Mr. Bean. In Man vs. Bee, Atkinson shows the audience once again why he’s a household name when it comes to comedic talents. The story follows a man housesitting at a huge mansion who has to battle with a bee who’s gotten inside the premises.

The show is ten episodes long, and audiences are curious to see if such a simple idea can actually sustain an entire series. However, if there’s one thing many generations are aware of, is how Atkinson’s physical comedy can provide hours of fun.
