10. Dan Marino, 1983-99

Dan Marino is one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history.

Playing for the Miami Dolphins from 1983 to 1999, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2005. 

Marino set numerous records during his career, including the most passing yards (61,361) and most touchdown passes (420). 

He was named NFL MVP in 1984 and led the Dolphins to the Super Bowl in 1985. 

9. Steve Young, 1985-99

Steve Young is definetly one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history. He played for the San Francisco 49ers from 1985 to 1999. 

During that time, he was named the Associated Press NFL Most Valuable Player three times (1992, 1994, 1995) and was selected to seven Pro Bowls. 

Young also holds the NFL record for the highest career passer rating (112.8), and he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2005.

8. Aaron Rodgers, 2005-Present

In 2005, the Green Bay Packers made Aaron Rodgers the 24th overall pick in the NFL Draft.

It was a move that would soon pay dividends, as Rodgers quickly established himself as one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history. 

In his first season as a starter in 2008, Rodgers led the Packers to a 13-3 record and a trip to the NFC Championship game. 

The following year, he got the NFL MVP title after throwing for 4,434 yards and 30 touchdowns. 

Currently, he holds several NFL passing records, cementing his place among the greatest quarterbacks of all time. 

7. Johnny Unitas, 1956-73

Johnny Unitas is regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history.

He was a Baltimore Colts player from 1956 to 1973, won three NFL championships and two MVP title. 

He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1979, and his jersey number, 19, has been retired by the Colts. 

In 2000, The Sporting News said he was the greatest quarterback of all time. Unitas died in 2002 at the age of 69.

6. Brett Favre, 1991-2010

Brett Favre’s name is synonymous with greatness, and his records speak for themselves. 

That is, from 1991 to 2010, Favre played an incredible 325 consecutive games, throwing over 71,000 yards and 513 touchdowns. 

Also, he was a three-time MVP and led the Green Bay Packers to victory in Super Bowl XXXI. 

5. John Elway, 1983-98

 He led the Denver Broncos to victory in an astonishing 148 out of 157 starts, including a great 10 game-winning drives in the 4th quarter alone.

In addition to his on-field success, Elway was also a gifted athlete, capable of making plays with his feet and arm.

In addition, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2004, and his number 7 jersey has been retired by the Broncos. 

4. Drew Brees, 2001-20

He was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in 2001 and spent five seasons with the team before moving to the New Orleans Saints in 2006.

In his 15 seasons with the Saints, he has led the team to seven divisional championships, six NFC conference titles, and a Super Bowl victory in 2010. 

Also, throughout his career, Brees has been consistently among the league leaders in passing yards and touchdowns, and he currently holds the NFL record for career passing yards.

3. Joe Montana, 1979-94

Many believe that Joe Montana is one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history.

He played for the San Francisco 49ers from 1979 to 1994, leading the team to four Super Bowl victories. 

In addition, Montana was known for his calm demeanor and ability to perform under pressure, earning the nickname “The Comeback Kid.” 

In fact, he was selected to eight Pro Bowls and was named the NFL’s Most Valuable Player three times. Later, after retirement, Montana was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2000.

2. Peyton Manning, 1998-2015

Peyton Manning is undoubtedly one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history.

Accordingly, throughout his career, Manning set numerous records, including the most passing touchdowns and passing yards in a season. 

Also, he was a 14-time Pro Bowl selection and First-Team All-Pro seven times. 

1. Tom Brady, 2000-present

Tom Brady is considered by many the greatest quarterback in NFL history. Since The New England Patriots drafted him in 2000, he quickly proved a valuable asset to the team. 

Overall, he played in all 16 games in his first season and helped the Patriots reach the playoffs. 

Also, Brady has continued to play at a high level throughout his career, and he has led the Patriots to eight Super Bowl appearances, winning five of them. 

He has also got the MVP title of four Super Bowls, more than any other player in history.
